A couple of Captain America: Brave New World-themed adverts were recently shared online, and while they only feature brief snippets of footage from the movie itself (see below), one quick shot may explain how Sam Wilson is able to stand and fight an enemy of incredible power such as the Red Hulk.Red Hulk's design in Captain America: Brave New World is very reminiscent of the Hulk's own design, particularly from projects such as Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame. In these movies, the level of detail in the CGI and visual effects used to create the Hulk was outstanding, and this is clearly repeated in Brave New World, as the Red Hulk looks very real, and very clearly still Harrison Ford. This has made me very happy indeed, especially since Marvel Studios seems to have finally addressed a huge Phase 4 controversy surrounding another Hulk.

Ever since we first heard that our new Cap would be taking on "Rulk" in the movie, fans have wondered how a highly-skilled - but unenhanced - individual like Wilson could possibly hope to last more than a few seconds against the rampaging Red Goliath. Sure, the suit and shield would give him an edge over the average Joe, but with no super soldier serum, the battle would still be over very quickly.

During a 2024 interview, Anthony Mackie was asked how his character could withstand an attack from Red Hulk.Back in 2022, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law introduced Tatiana Maslany's Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. Bruce Banner's cousin and the MCU's She-Hulk, in live-action. Unfortunately, this debut occurred during a period in Marvel's history where there was great turmoil behind the scenes, with workers being stretched too thin across a slew of new projects being produced for theaters and for Disney+. This workload meant the quality of several projects was lacking, which had a serious negative impact on the visual design of She-Hulk.

Directed by James Wong, Final Destination introduces the audience to Alex Browning (Devon Sawa), who has a vivid vision of the plane he’s boarding exploding. Alex, a teacher, and some of his friends and classmates leave the plane, which minutes later explodes just like in his vision.

Mackie concluded by hinting that Wilson may have "had dinner" in Wakanda at some point, and it looks like this trip to T'Challa's homeland provided him with the tech he needs to go toe-to-toe with Ross.Because Alex and the rest cheated Death, they begin to die in bizarre circumstances, one by one in the order they were meant to die on the plane. The success of Final Destination led to a franchise with a total of five movies and a sixth one in development, with the rest of the movies following the same formula as the first one. However, the upcoming reboot, Final Destination: Bloodlines, is doing things slightly differently, and thanks to this, it can finally solve the franchise’s biggest mystery without losing the saga’s essence.

The shot in question sees Rulk bounce Wilson between two cars like a pinball, as his wings emit a purple hue. This would seem to confirm that Sam's new suit will have the same capabilities as the Black Panther costumes designed by Shuri (Letitia Wright). If so, there's a good chance Cap's new wing-suit will be able to absorb Red Hulk's hits and channel them into kinetic energy while also serving as a shield.

Would this realistically explain how Wilson would survive an onslaught of such magnitude? Hey, it's a superhero movie - Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) walked away from all kinds of situations that no normal human ever would in previous MCU movies, and all they had were a bow-and-arrow and some wrist-tasers.The Final Destination movies don’t follow a continuity, instead just being set in the same universe – however, Final Destination 5 reveals at the end that it’s a prequel, and the ending makes way for the plane explosion at the beginning of the first movie. Final Destination: Bloodlines, then, isn’t a direct sequel to either movie in the saga, but it will have a different approach than the one seen in the previous movies and that the audience now knows a bit too well.
